Estimates
Funeral costs are often an area of concern whether you are arranging a funeral at-need or pre-planning. For this reason, we have an open and honest approach regarding our professional fees, and are comprehensive in providing details of likely costs of third parties.
It is our policy to provide a written estimate to clients before the day of the funeral, once we are aware of all the requirements. We can however, also provide an estimate, even if you have not yet instructed us to carry out a funeral for you. These estimates can be provided verbally over the telephone, or in writing by mail or email.
We endeavour to be as accurate as possible with our estimates, and allow for all expenses that you have detailed, as well as 'disbursements' to churches, cemeteries, crematoria etc.
Budgets
Funerals are individual occasions, reflecting a person or family's personal preferences, so in that respect, costs can vary widely. Another consideration is budget - many prefer to have a simple funeral, often with cost in mind. As well as a traditional level of service, we also offer a budget service level, and indeed higher service levels for those who want something extra.
Basic funerals can be arranged by selecting our budget options for services and coffin, and by having little or nothing in the way of flowers, newspaper notices and teas. Having a friend of family member leading the service in place of a minister or celebrant can also produce a saving.
Our fees
Funeral homes throughout the country differ in terms of the number of staff they employ, their facilities and indeed the level and quality of service they offer. For those reasons, costs for 'like-for-like' funerals can differ between different companies. Our aim is to give our clients value for money and impeccable service, regardless of budget. Many of our fees are way below the national average, but enable us to provide our clients with a high level of service. Our policy of continual investment in our business means that we can provide you with a funeral fleet and funeral parlour far superior to many others.
